The gallery in Katowice is located on the premises of the former
mineshaft of the "Wieczorek-2 Mine, the history of which dates back to
the year 1826. Now this antique structure is used e.g. as exhibition
space of the Wilson Shaft Gallery (the area of nearly 2500 m2). This
entire area is divided into three halls: the so-called Small, Medium and
Gallery. Similar to the OSTRALE, with the Wilson Shaft Gallery an old
industrial place has been revitalised in the new function of an art
exhibition space.
